3. Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan)
I know my daughter’s name is Marvel but it’s because of her I found and fell in love with Kamala Khan, the current Ms. Marvel. She’s just like me in that she’s a Geek and doesn’t quite have her act together. Plus she’s a fan of the Avengers and even writes Avengers Fan Fiction (though I’ve yet to write that kind). I also love that her costume is modest, as because of my religious beliefs, I have to make sure any costume I make covers certain areas of my body (I don’t see this as negative but a personal choice really). It’s also really flattering and a cute version! Plus she made it herself in the comics!

4. Jedi Knight from Star Wars
This is one I’ve been playing around with for years but I want to get it done right because I want to join the Rebel Legion. The Rebel Legion is a league of Star Wars costumers who attend charity and local events. They don’t get paid anything to troop around in their costumes. They do it all for the love of Star Wars.
And to get into the group, you have to meet certain guidelines and generally look like you came out of the movie. I’m hoping to build some cosplays for Sean and I to go with our UltraSabers that we bought from Salt Lake Comic Con last year.
I’ve got them all sketched out. Now I just need to work on the patterns and get started!

5. Daenerys Targaryen from Game of thrones
Blue is one of my favorite colors and I can’t help but love this tunic and leggings set that Dany wears in Game of Thrones. What’s awesome is there are some commercial patterns that I can use to make this cosplay dream of mine come true! It’s not one I’m worrying about right now but I hope to get it done in the next couple of years.
Maybe then I’ll have Marvel dress as a dragon for me!
